Pics Thurs June 5 08

Here are the three at Milepost#0 Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek AB. We are sitting in the middle of the street and life in the city goes on around the post.
This is the monument dedicated to the men who lost their lives trying to cross Charlie Lake with equipment for building the highway. There was a man who rescued six of the men by using his rowboat the hypothermia killed the rest. This is a nice memorial showing both US & Canadian flags.
We ate breakfast mid morning and then stopped at Shepherd's Inn mid afternoon. NOW, you see pie, cinnamon roll and ice cream. WE see fruit and dairy!!! See--tis all in the eye of the beholder!

This is Ila writing!

You jump out of a van to get a picture of a bear and then you sit in the middle of the street. Didn't your children teach you better than that??

at least they weren't PLAYING in the street. But you have to wonder how they got over there without causing an accident or stopping traffic. I hope none of the young grandkids see the example these three ladies or setting. LOL
