Hi Everyone, this is Phyllis.
We started this day from Calgary. We stopped at the Stampede Park, but were too tight to pay $11.00 to go inside. There appeared to be a lot of construction and not much else to see, so we traveled on to the Olympic Park. There are some awesome ski lifts and jumps there as well as lots of young people there for the summer . I have added one more thing to my "bucket list" and that is to ride in a bob sled.
The sense of direction with this trio has not changed much. We are very glad that the van turns around so easily. It has to happen a lot when myself and Ila are navigating. Linda is very tolerant. As we headed for Banff, we are suddenly in awe of the view ahead of us. The mountains are magnificant and we are only just starting to see them. We have stopped for the night in Banff and this is a first class tourist center, so things are priced accordingly. We are learning some new slang words. They are "eh" and "for sure", so we will begin practice them so we sound like the locals. We hope you are enjoying our adventure with us, and please feel free to coment. It is not that hard, just follow the instructions. Keep us in your prayers. Also, please for give us for posting the pictures twice, but couldn't figure out how to delete the second set.

Banff, eh? Seems like someone ought to buy a vowel. For sure.
You haven't answered a question from my earlier comment... how many hours have you been driving?
The pictures are beautiful! We are trying to figure out the route you are taking to Alaska. However, you seem to be headed to the Pacific ocean. :) We look forward to reading about your adventures each evening and seeing pictures that you post. Hope you are having a great time.
We are enjoying your daily journal and are always relieved to know things are going well. We do keep you in our prayers. When you get to the Pacific Ocean you should probably turn North. Love, Mary Lou
